'the adventure starts here' is a specialised outdoor company owned and run by Nick and Peter Blundell. They have worked with young people for many years leading and organising everything from a local day hike to full scale Expeditions to wild country. They have also managed large outdoor shops in London's outdoor centre 'Covent Garden'. This means they are eminently suited to undertake their new project.

'the adventure starts here' has been formed to provide a complete outdoor experience for youth groups. Not only do they provide training for all levels of activity but also top quality equipment, at affordable prices, to enable the young people and their Leaders to carry out the activity in safety.

'the adventure starts here' operates throughout the year from its permanent retail facility at Phasels Wood Scout Activity Centre at Kings Langley near Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. It is open every weekend throughout the year and more during the high season. It also has a show of the latest tents, pitched for four months during the high season.

Customers can visit the shop to discuss and learn about equipment. Lectures can also be arranged at the shop or 'the adventure starts here' can visit your premises to put on displays of equipment.

The two owners of 'the adventure starts here' have been involved with various youth groups for over 30 years. They have been providing a wide range of activities for all of those years. Their prime interest has always been the outdoors.

Nick and Peter are both Summer MLTB trained and alongside the expedition training courses they run, they organise hikes for a day or 'full on' wild country trips. Weekend or longer camps are organised on a regular basis.

Nick is also an ex Kayak Slalom competitor and now instructor, running day kayak trips and shorter kayak experiences for young people.

Both Nick and Peter are CRB checked and first aid qualified.

All of these things, their experience, their knowledge and their qualifications make Nick and Peter ideally suited to running 'the adventure starts here'.
