Job Description
Are you passionate about bikes and providing excellent customer service? Do you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment? If so, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Advisor to join our team.
About:
Billy Bilsland Cycles is a busy bike shop located in Saltmarket, Glasgow, just across from Glasgow Green. Opened in 1980 by decorated Scottish Olympic cyclist Billy Bilsland, we have been serving the good people of Glasgow and far beyond for over 40 years. We are a family owned, independent bike shop with a proud Glasgow heritage. Staffed by a passionate team of cyclists dedicated to providing our customers with the best possible service and products, we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team.
Responsibilities:
As a Sales Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our shop, ensuring every customer has a great experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers with their inquiries and helping them find the right bikes, parts, and accessories .
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently .
- Maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing shop floor .
- Answering phone and email inquiries in a professional manner .
- Potentially assisting with basic bike maintenance or repairs.
- Keeping up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends .
Skills/Experience Required
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine enthusiasm for cycling and the bike industry .
- Is customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is proactive, friendly, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Has previous retail experience and mechanical knowledge of bikes.
- Is able to work weekends (4/5 day working week)
